Nippon Paint Ramadan Cricket Carnival begins on Saturday

Twenty teams are competing in the open tape-ball tournament of the Nippon Paint Ramadan Cricket Carnival 2012. The open tournament begins on Saturday with Maldives Volley taking on Highway in the first match and Milan Cricket Academy taking on Leisure Cargo in the second match.
This years carnival is sponsored by STO and is played under their product Nippon Paint . The 20 teams have been divided into four groups with the winners of each group proceeding to the semi-finals. The open tournament will conclude on 11 August. The tournament will be followed by the inter-office and inter-company tape ball tournament. The Ramadan Cricket Carnival organised by CBM is the biggest and oldest social sports event held during the fasting month of Ramadan. [schedule]
