The annual Cricket Evening was held at Ekuveni Ground on August 2nd 2016 to mark the cricket successes of the previous year and to formally hand over the running of the Cricket Board of Maldives from one President and Executive Committee to another.

As well as the annual awards, the evening was an opportunity for the outgoing President Mr Ahmed Hassan Didi & Vice President Mohamed Faisal to ‘Celebrate 20 Years 1996 – 2016 The Making of Maldives Cricket’. A New Era Begins
The finale of the evening was the official handover of control of the Cricket Board of Maldives when President Ahmed Hassan Didi handed over the role of President to Mohamed Aflah. On stage were members of both Executive Committees.
