The 1st Fuvahmulah Girls Inter School Cricket Tournament has reached the GRAND FINAL match which will be played between H.A.S. and M.J.M. school teams after an exciting and fun group stage round robin along with the team of girls from F.S.
Every team played each other twice and learned the match-play part of cricket as each game was played. All of the teams had a selection of those girls that have been playing cricket here now for 6 months as-well as a number of girls completely new to the game.
As cricket develops in the Maldives is is vitally important to share the joys of the game with girls and women. The schools, principals, staff, players and parents are enthusiastic for their children to be involved in organised sports that offers them practices and matches throughout the year.
