The long running 2 and 3 day Maldives National Cricket Tournament begins on Friday 13th November at Ekuveni Cricket Ground. The participating teams this year are M.S. Helping Hands Sports Academy, Malé Sports Club and Milan Cricket Academy.

The first 2 day, 4 innings game will be contested between M.S. Helping Hands Sports Academy and Malé Sports Club. Play begins at 7:30am.

TOURNAMENT DATES / VENUE

Tournament will consist of 1 group of 3 teams that play each other once. A Final match contested between the 2 best-placed teams from the group. All games played at Ekuveni Cricket Ground.

15:30 – 17:00 1 ½ hrs 25 overs [90 Overs Total]

MATCH FORMAT

Group Matches – 2 Day’s, 2 Innings for each team.
Final Match – 3 Day’s, 2 innings for each team.
*1st Innings of each team consists of a maximum of 60 overs with 12 overs maximum bowled by a player.

STANDARD POINTS SCORING

WIN – 14 points
DRAW – 7 points + any bonus points accumulated in either innings
TIE – 7 points + any bonus points accumulated in either innings

BONUS POINTS

BATTING
1st Innings – 0.5 points for every 25 runs scored throughout the 60 overs
2nd Innings – 0.5 points for every 25 runs scored throughout the innings to a maximum of 5 points.

BOWLING
0.5 points at the fall of each wicket. A maximum of 5 bowling points per innings to be awarded

CLOTHING

All team members including 12th man and any substitute fielders to wear ‘Cricket Whites’ whilst on the field of play during scheduled play times.
