Match No.1 (25.04.21)
Ministry of Youth & Sports v MIRA

Officials – Aiham ziyadh, Kasun and Ibrahim Rizan.

Mira won the toss elected to field first. The experienced Imad ismail was duck out in the first ball of the innings. Saifullah Islam (20) helpedthe Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment to reach 87 runs off their 8 overs.
Moosa Jinah took 2 wickets with Hussain Usaid and Hussain Amir snagging 1 wicket each.

In reply, MIRA went into to chase a very low target but lost their main two batsmen (Mohamed Jinah (10) and Moosa Jinah (17)/.
The under pressure tax office team on course to reach the target until Imad Ismail came on to bowl in the 7th over and changed the game in his teams favour.
MIRA needed 6 runs in the last over, bowled by Saifull Islam: three dot balls in a row, 4th ball a wide, 5th ball one run and the last ball MIRA needed one run for to win but Saiful Islam took the wicket and the game was tied.

Match Tied. Both teams 1 point each.

Match No.2 (25.04.21)
Immigration v Peoples’ Majlis

Officials – Aiham Ziyadh, Kasun and Ibrahim Rizan.

Peoples Majlis won the toss and elected to field.
Like the first match, the experienced fell early, as Ahmed Amir was out for
5 runs.
Adil Ali’s 27 runs helped Immigration to reach a total of 78 runs, which is a low score but the Peoples Majlis bowlers kept a good line and length. Abdul Muhsin and Ali Niyaz shared 1 wicket each.

In reply, Peoples Majlis had a very low target, Ex-president of the Maldives Mohamed Nasheed (14) and Ali Azim (17) wer the only two batsmen to go into double figures as after them the batsmen were unlucky – the shots they played were going straight to the hands of the fielders.

Immigration won the match by 20 runs.

Match No.3 (26.04.21)
Ministry of Youth & Sports v Customs

Officials – Adam Nasif, Hussain Izuaan and Rassam Rasheed

Customs won the toss and elected to bat first. The dangerous Mohamed Amir was out for 8 runs by Saifulla Islam.
After that Ahmed Shareef’s 31 runs helped customs reach 126 runs in 8 overs. Saifulla Islam 2 wickets, Mohamed Riyaz and Minister Mohamed Mahloof shared 1 wicket each.

In reply, the experienced Imad Ismail played tricks on the Customs bowlers by making them bowl wide balls in the innings, Ministry of Youth & Sports chased down the target easily without losing any wickets. Imad
Ismail 32 runs (retired), Saifulla islam 29 runs and Minister Ahmed Mahloof 8 runs.

Youth Ministry won by 8 wickets.

Match No.4 (26.04.21)
Immigration v MMA

Officials – Adam Nasif, Hussain Izuaan and Rassam Rasheed.

Immigration won the toss and elected to bowl. The MMA openers started very well giving trouble to the Immigration bowlers. Ahmed Anis 15 runs, Ahmed Shihad 31 runs and Abulla Rasheed 16 runs were exciting to watch.
They manage to score 92 runs from 8 overs since immigration bowlers were pretty good.

In reply, Immigration chased this low target in the 5th over where Adil Ali scored 12 runs, Said Mohamed scored 13 runs and Ahmed Amir finishing the match with 16 runs. Ismail Shareef took 1 wicket.

Immigration won by 7 wickets.

Match No.5 (27.04.21)
MIRA v Customs

Officials – Sanjeewa Kasun, Ahmed Aiham and Rassam Rasheed.

In the last of the group stage matches, the team winning would be going to semifinals.
Customs won the toss and elected to field first. Learning from yesterday’s match, the Customs bowlers kept a very tight line.
MIRA were struggling to score runs but Moosa Jinah hit 21 runs and Mohamed Jinah’s 10 runs took MIRA to a total of 98 runs.

In reply, Customs chased the down the small target in 6th over. The experienced Mohamed Amir smashed his way to 36 runs and Ahmed Shareef’s 26 runs were exciting to watch. Hussain Usaid and Moosa
Jinah shared 1 wicket each.

Customs won by 6 wickets.

Match No.6 (27.04.21)
MMA v Peoples’ Majlis

Officials – Sanjeewa Kasun, Ahmed Aiham and Rassam Rasheed.

Peoples’ Majlis won the toss and elected to bat first. MMA bowling was very poor, giving away 64 extras.
From the Majlis team Ex-president Mohamed Nasheed 11 runs, Ali Niyaz 11 runs and Hassan Latheef’s 14 runs took the total to 113 runs.
Ahmed Shihad 2 wickets for the MMA bowlers.

In reply, MMA had a big target on their back, losing their main two batsmen for just 6 runs putting extra pressure on themselves.
From the first ball itself Peoples’ Majlis bowling was excellent, not giving many extras.
Ismail Shareef 10 runs.
Abdul Muhsin, Hassan Latheef, Ali aAim and Ahmed Haleem shared 1 wicket each.

Majlis won by 58 runs.

SEMI FINAL No.1 (28.04.21)
Ministry of Youth, Sports & Community Empowerment v Peoples’ Majlis

Officials – Hussain Izuaan, Adam Nasif and Ibrahim Rizan.

The Ministry of Youth, Sports & Community Empowerment won the toss and elected to field first.
The first over bowled by Minister Ahmed Mahloof went for 22 runs. But, after that, the Peoples Majlis didn’t get a much more chances to score. Notable batsmen were Ali Azim 14 runs and Hassan Latheef 15 runs as the team reached 97 runs.
Pick of the bowlers was Saiful Islam taking 3 wickets for 12 runs.

In reply, MYSCE dominated from ball 1, smashing their way to the Final Match by scoring 100 runs by the 6th over. Imad Ismail 16 runs and Saiful islam 34 runs.

Ministry of Youth, Sports & Community Empowerment won by 6 wickets.

SEMI FINAL No.2 (28.04.21)
Immigration v Customs

Officials – Hussain Izuaan, Adam Nasif and Ibrahim Rizan.

Customs won the toss and elected to field. Immigration were struggling to score any boundaries today with only two boundaries coming in the last two balls of the last over. Overall, they managed to score just only 70 runs.

In reply, Mohamed Amir smashed his teams way to the final by scoring 32 runs and his partner Mohamed Haikal made 19 runs.

Customs won by 7 wickets.

FINAL MATCH (29.04.21)
Ministry of Youth, Sports & Community Empowerment v Customs

Officials – Leem Shafeeg, Aiham Ziyadh and Rassam Rasheed.

Ministry of Youth, sports & Community Empowerment won the toss and elected to field first.
The experienced batsman Mohamed Amir scored 20 runs & just 5 runs
short from winning the most runs award. His partner, Mohamed Haikal scored 20 runs and Ahmed Shareef 14 runs. At the end of 8 overs they scored 102 runs. Imad Ismail 1 wicket.

In reply, the dangerous Saiful Islam was out for 19 runs. With pressure building on Youth Ministry side, the Customs bowlers did a good job keeping the ball straight. Mohamed Amir and Ahmed Shareef 2 wickets each.

Match went neck to neck to the last over with MYS needing 18 runs to win. All the pressure was on Imad Ismail the only batsman to be not-out but with Faisals good bowling experience imad couldn’t do much.

Customs won the FINAL MATCH by 9 runs.

    Champions trophy, medals and Prize money were presented by Lily Enterprise CEO (Ahmed Nasir).
