Match No.1 (20.04.21)
Sugar cone vs Kinza Café

Officials – Leem Shafeeg, Yaaseen Ahmed and Ismail Nazuwan.

Sugar Cone won the toss and elected to bat first scoring a huge total of 152 in 8 overs. Abdulla Afeef with 33 runs from 19 balls, Ali 34 from 13 balls and Ahmed Shareef 31 runs from 14 balls, no wickets were taken during this innings with all batsmen having to retire after scoring 30 runs or more.

In reply, Kinza Café had a huge target in their back so they sent their most experience batmen to the middle from ball 1.The talismanic Mohamed Rishwan was caught out in the deep by Ismail Nashid in the ball of the inning.

Wickets went like a firecrackers. Evan Amir was the only batsman making double figures scoring 16 runs in 16 balls. Sugar cone bowlers were excellent with their 8 Overs; Mohamed Faisal 2 overs,12 runs for 3 Wickets, Abdulla Afeef 2 overs, 31 runs for 2 Wickets.

Sugar cone won by 60 runs.

Match No.2 (20.04.21)
Avia Maldives vs Well Left

Officials – Leem Shafeeg, Yaaseen Ahmed and Ismail Nazuwan

Well Left won the toss elected to bowl first, Avia Opening batmen Mohamed Shadhuhan was struggling to score run, but his partner Jilwaz Rasheed (21runs) was smashing the ball all over the park until nazmi Jaleel took his wicket, Mohamed Shadhuhan retired on 20 runs, Avia Maldives manage to make 84 runs in 8 overs.

In reply, Well left opening batmen Hussain Mafaaz wanted to finish the inning fast scoring 19 runs in 9 bowls but Mohamed Shadhuhan took his wicket, next came ali rafil rauf scoring 18 runs in 9 bowls he was even out by Farih Mohamed, Pressure was building for both the teams, last over only 4 runs to go, Jilwaz Rasheed took the ball for the last over of the match needed four runs, he bowled a juicy bouncy which end up in the boundary.

Well left won by 3 wickets.

Match No.3 (21.04.21)
Sugar Cone vs Sun Quick Lily

Officials – Sanjeeva Kasun, Rassam Rasheed and Ismail Nazuwan

Sugar Cone won the toss and elected to bat first. There was some good bowling from Sunquick Lilly to prevent scoring shots being played; plus by taking wickets in regularly, they put Sugar Cone under pressure – scoring only 80 runs in 8 overs.
Ali Ibrahim once again the only man to make double figures scoring 24 runs off 19 balls. Ahmed Neesham was the pick of the bowlers at 2 Overs for 16 runs and snagging 2 wickets.

In reply, Sunquick Lilly chased the small target in 5 overs, Ahmed Hassan unbeaten on 36, Hassan Ibrahim 29 runs from 9 balls.

Sunquick Lilly won by 8 wickets.


Match No.4 (21.04.21)
Avia Maldives vs KDM

Officials – Sanjeeva Kasun, Rassam Rasheed and Ismail Nazuwan

Avia Maldives won the toss and elected to bat, they struggled valiantly to get to a total of 77 from their 8 Overs.
Ismail Zaahy clipped 17 runs from 21 balls and Mohamed Saeed snaffled 2 wickets for 18 runs from his allotted 2 Overs.

In reply, KDM chased down the target in a very brisk 4 overs. Villimalés’ own Adam Nasif entetained the crowd with 33 runs from just 12 balls.

KDM won by 6 wickets.

Match No.5 (22.04.21)
Kinza Café vs Sun Quick Lily

Officials – Leem Shafeeg, Yaseen Ahmed and Shamma Ali

The last matches of the Group Stage took place today at Ekuveni Cricket Ground, Malé.
Sunquick Lily won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring a galaxy of runs
in their 8 overs, second highest total of the tournament so far 141, Ahmed Hassan keeping his excellent form scoring a quick 35 runs and Mohamed Saafee Saeed 34 runs.
Kinza Café captain Azaan, took 2 wickets in two balls during his 2 overs that went for a total of 28 runs.

In reply, Kinza Café had a huge target to go after. Mohamed Rishwan 25 runs and Mohamed Salaam 22, and in the end Eezan Shahul’s 14 runs was exciting to watch. Ultimately, Kinza Café lost the match with Sunquick Lilly winning by 58 runs.


Match No.6 (22.04.21)
Well left vs KDM

Officials – Leem Shafeeg, Yaseen Ahmed and Shamma Ali

KDM won the toss elected to bat first, Scoring the third highet score of the tournament 131 runs.
Man in form Adam Nasif couldn’t make many getting caught in the first Over by Hadad Malik. Ahmed Ameel 17 and Hussain Rimaz 22 runs. Ali Rafil rauf 2 wickets.

In reply, Well Left came out swinging hard. Opener Hussain Mafaaz had some fire inside of him, going after every ball enthusiastically, but he had to retire after making 34 runs. The remaining batsmen failed to trouble the scorers much.
KDM bowlers kept a good line making it hard to score against. Ahmed Ameel and Muaviyath Abdul Ganee both sharing 1 wicket each.
KDM won by 39 runs.

Match No.7 – SEMI FINAL 1
Well left v Sunquick Lilly

Officials – Leem Shafeeg, Kasun and Ibrahim Rizan.

Sunquick Lilly won the toss elected to bat first in the first semifinal of the RCC Open tournament.
The Openers started strong in the first Over making 10 runs, both the openers were trying to beat the others score. In form Ahmed Hassan (31) runs, Yoosuf Azyan (27) and Hassan Ibrahim (26) helped them to reach a total of 120 runs.

In reply, Well Left had a huge target of 121 to achieve. Young Hussain Mafaaz didn’t mind the pace of Hassan Ibrahim as he went after every ball but after a smart bowling change Mafaaz was caught out by Shaaz
Habeeb for 18 runs. After that Ibrahim Ali was the only batmen to manage and get some runs but it wasn’t enough to go to the FINAL MATCH.

Sunquick Lilly won by 39 runs


Match No.8 – SEMI FINAL 2
Sugar Cone vs KDM

Officials – Leem Shafeeg, Rassam Rasheed and Ibrahim Rizan

KDM won the toss and elected to bat first – even though it was a poor batting performance as they swung the bat hard but couldn’t connect. Adam Nasif struggled at first but fought to get his groove back, scoring 35 runs in 19 balls. Muawiyath Abdul Ganee picked up 24 runs as the innings ended with 104 runs the total.
Bowlers Mohamed Faisal, Ahmed Nashid and Ahmed Ikram shared 1 wicket each.

In reply, Sugar Cone had a bit of the struggle in the first over but in the second over they shifted up the gears and went for it against a poor bowling performance from the KDM side as within 3 overs sugar cone made 42 runs.
leaving only 11 runs to win from the last over, retired batsman Mohamed Amir went in again to finish the job, but it was his partner Ahmed Amir who fired Sugar Cone into the final in style by scoring two 6’s in the over.

Sugar cone won by 2 wickets.

Match No.9 – FINAL MATCH
Sunquick LilLy vs Sugar Cone

Sugar cone won the toss elected to field first, this is the first time they have won the toss elected to field.
From the first ball the in-form Ahmed Hassan went for it, starting the innings with a 6, it was very good batting performance from Ahmed Hassan (35 runs). Yoosuf Azyan smashed (32 runs) and Hassan Ibrahim
belted (32 runs).

In reply, Sugar Cone had to chase down 136 runs to win. A big ask in any match.
Ppener Abudlla Afeef was out duck off the second ball of the over.
From there on Ali Ibrahim and Mohamed Amir started to shift through the gears and go after it.

Sugar Cone was in the game until the 7th Over of the match when Ahmed Neesham came and took 4 huge wickets – this is the first time in this tournament a bowler has taken 4 wickets in an over.

Sunquick Lily CHAMPIONS by 29 runs.
