The Cricket Board of Maldives has collated two calendars of cricket tournaments for the two cricket grounds situated in the Maldives; Ekuveni & Fuvahmulah.
After almost two years of COVID restrictions putting competitive cricket out of reach of the majority of cricketers in Maldives, tournaments and events conducted in 2022 were a success and in 2023, the CBM is excited to be able to offer cricket tournaments around the country in a variety of formats including ‘Cricket For All’.
We aim to provide opportunities throughout the country for new players and for those that play occasionally to be involved in fun, competitive cricket whilst showcasing the leading players of the country in the formats that entertain, assist development of players and engagement with cricket fans.
The CBM is committed to providing a ‘Player Pathway’ from junior cricket through to High Performance Programmes and the Maldives National Cricket Squads.
These tournaments and events are an extremely vital part of the ‘Pathway’ and the 2023 tournament calendars put forward here are to form the progressive evolutionary foundations of Maldives Cricket through to 2030.
