The Annual General Meeting for 2024 was held and finalised on May 2 at MNIS hall.
The Annual Report for 2023, the Cricket Event & Tournament Calendar for 2024, the 2024 Budget and Audit report of 2023 was approved by acclamation by the club members.
Addressing the members President Mohamed Faisal highlighted various successes of Maldives Cricket throughout 2023, including for the first time, having two senior men’s national squads representing Maldives at the same time in two different international events as well as U16 boys and U19 men’s squads participating in regional international events overseas.
It was announced that CBM will hold 12 senior men’s and women’s tournaments across the nation in 2024. Likewise, for juniors, there are 11 events planned in the Greater Malé, Fuvahmulah City and L. Kunahandhoo regions. The budget approved for 2024 was approximately 6,083,440 MVR.
President Faisal thanked the members for their strong support towards development of cricket and in managing the game in the country.
The Cricket Board of Maldives wishes to extend a special thanks to all the member clubs for participating in the meeting and to the officials for planning and organising the event.
