The annual national T20 Men’s Cricket Tournaments got underway on 4 July 2025 with all matches played at Ekuveni Cricket Ground on Fridays & Saturdays.
Milan Cricket Academy finished as CHAMPIONS of the Premier League with CBL Sports finishing RUNNERS-UP. Malé Sports Club and New Star complete the ‘President’s Cup’ line up with their respective 3rd and 4th League spots.
This year, 6 of the top Clubs in the Maldives battled it out in the T20 Premier League with the best placed 4 teams taking part in the 2025 T20 President’s Cup at the conclusion of the league.
2024 Champions Milan Cricket Academy were joined with CBL Sports, Malé Sports Club, OFFU FC, MS Helping Hands Sports Academy and New Star.
The President’s Cup began on August 1 and after three elimination matches, CBL Sports & Malé Sports Club progress to the final of the 2025 President’s T20 Cup.

FINAL MATCH August 8
Winning the toss, MSC chose to bowl first and restricted CBL Sports to 46/2 from 7 overs. Pressure on the batters was maintained and 7 more wickets fell in the last 9 overs. Ashan Yapa top scored with 52 from 39 balls to help CBL Sports post 127/9 from their 20 overs.
Mohamed Mahfooz collected 3 wickets with 2 each for Shiyam and Irfan to complement a tight bowling performance.
In reply, the CBL opening bowlers reduced MSC to 22/3 from the first 4 overs. From the 5th Over, Mohamed Rishwan took control of the chase and hit a responsible 61 from 46 balls before being trapped LBW with his team needing just 12 more to win.
Muawiyath Abdul Ghanee and Mahfooz were the batsmen on the field to see-off the target in the 18th Over and ensure Malé Sports Club are this years’ champions.
