Annual Cricket Night Celebrates 2018 Cricket Around the Country

The Annual Cricket Night took place at Ghiyasuddin School, Malé on Saturday 23rd February celebrating all the cricket activities around the country in 2018.

An opening speech from CBM President Mohamed Aflah covered points of success and development including the investment in the Men’s National Team coach and facilities, relationships made and utilised with the Pakistan and Indian Embassies, through to affirming the current Governments intentions to provide land in Hulhumalé for a new cricket stadium.

Awards were presented by The His Excellency the President of Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, Veteran cricketer MD Abdulaziz, Sports Council Chairman Ibrahim Ismail, Minister of Presidents Office Ahmed Naseem, Cricket Veteran Ahmed Nasir, EXCO Members: Ismail Anil, Afzal Jaleel, Mohamed Faisal, Madih Ismail and CBM President Mohamed Aflah.

Thanks to Public Service Media for presenting and broadcasting the event live on terrestrial, digital and On-line. Thanks to Salsa restaurant for the catering services. Thanks to ‘Hiyani’ for entertainment and music.
