Antony’s Domestic Two-Day Best XI

Antony’s Domestic Two-Day Best XI 🇲🇻️🏏❤️

This week Maldives Cricket SuperFan Mr. Singh K Antony completes his trio of ‘Best XI’ with his Best XI for two-day matches.

The fact that only 1 of the following players has actually played a two-day match has not perturbed his choice…Antony has a keen eye for the future and has watched these players grow up within the Maldives Cricket circle.

  1. Yaqoob Salman

Immensely talented cricketer. Being a south paw, makes him tailormade opener. Aggressive from the word go. Bowling is an added advantage to the team. Excellent fielder.

  1. Ibrahim Sadhoof (Wk)

Technically, the best wicket keeper in Maldives. Knowledgeable cricketer. Great in his attitude towards the game. Sound batsman. Needs to come out of the groove as the situation demands. Hope the selectors would respond to his knock at their doors.

Right person to lead the younger brigade. Will lead by example in all departments of the game.

  1. Mohamed Ivan

Highly rated with his batting credentials. Knows how to pace his innings to reach better individual scores.

  1. Shius Fareed

Aggressive batsman. Unstoppable on his day. Wicket keeping is an app advantage.

  1. Hussain Mafaaz

Underrated cricketer. Can be used as a batsman at any position. Useful bowler with military medium pace. Likes to bowl long spells. Lovely and lively character on and off the field.

  1. Ibrahim Raid

Captain’s pride. Utility cricketer. Bowling is his strength. Useful with the bat as well. Excellent fielder at midwicket.

  1. Ali Rafil Rauf

Quality all rounder. Capable of playing a cameo with the bat. Bowls with good pace.

  1. Rassam Rasheed

  1. Mohamed Rayan Tholal

Proved his mettle at international level. Intelligent bowler. Promises a lot for the future.
